LAHORE: The city of Lahore is set to host 2nd International Boxing Championship, the biggest international boxing competition of country’s history from November 26 to 29, 2025.
The preparations of grand event have entered the final stages. Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar visited Jinnah Sports Complex Lahore Garrison to inspect the arrangements and facilities for the International Boxing Championship.
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Talking on this occasion, Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that Punjab Sports Department in collaboration with World Boxing Association is going to organize ‘Fight for Glory’ Boxing Championship in Lahore from November 26 to 29, 2025.
He said it is for the first time in Pakistan that 38 international boxers will participate in a boxing competition. “The ring is ready for the boxing competitions with the support of Punjab Sports Department”.
Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar further said that Pakistan is making rapid progress in the field of sports. “The grand boxing event will highlight Pakistan’s positive image at global level. The participation of international boxers in ‘Fight for Glory’ Boxing Championship is a proof of Pakistan’s credibility at international level”.
He further said that security and top class facilities have been ensured for the international level boxing championship. “It is our aim to promote harmony and peace through sports diplomacy. There will be great entertainment in this family event”.
