Pakistan Navy seizes over 2000kg crystal meth worth $130mn in Arabian Sea operation
- Latest apprehension of narcotics by PNS TABUK third consecutive successful interdiction conducted in last 2 months
The Pakistan Navy (PN) seized over 2,000 kilogrammes of methamphetamine, also known as crystal meth, in a drug bust worth $130 million in the Arabian Sea, a statement said on Wednesday.
“Pakistan Navy Ship TABUK, while operating on Regional Maritime Security Patrol (RMSP) and in support of Saudi-led CTF-150 under HQ Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), intercepted a suspicious dhow operating in the Arabian Sea.

“Subsequently, the ship successfully conducted a major counter-narcotics operation onboard stateless dhow resulting in the seizure of over 2000 Kg of methamphetamine (ICE),” the statement from the Directorate-General Public Relations (DG PR) read.
“The estimated regional wholesale value of apprehend narcotics is 130 million US dollars.”
The DG PR said the latest apprehension of narcotics by PNS TABUK was the third consecutive successful interdiction conducted in last 2 months by PN ships.
“These successful operations demonstrate PN’s enduring resolve and unwavering commitment against illicit trafficking at sea. The scale of the operation, coupled with its flawless execution, underscores not only Pakistan Navy’s professionalism but also the effectiveness of multinational coordination under CMF,” the statement said.
