Explosions shake western Ukraine after Russia’s missile, drone attacks

LVIV: A series of explosions were heard in the western Ukrainian cities of Lviv and Ternopil, Ukrainian media and a Reuters witness reported on Wednesday, after Ukraine’s military warned of a high threat of Russian missile and drone attacks.

Russian missile strikes on Ukraine hit 2.5-year high

“Russia is once again attacking our energy infrastructure,” Ukraine’s Energy Ministry said on the Telegram messaging app.

“Emergency power outages have been introduced in a number of regions of Ukraine.”
