Activities of Karachi Port Trust, Port Qasim

KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 119,204 tonnes of cargo comprising 75,455 tonnes of import cargo and 43,749 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.

The total import cargo of 75,455 tonnes comprised of 35,318 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 13,367 tonnes of Bulk Cargo, 4,782 tonnes of Ammonium Sulphate, 537 tonnes of Sugar, & 21,451 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.

The total export cargo of 43,749 tonnes comprised of 29,508 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 1,791 tonnes of Rice & 12,450 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.

Around, 05 ships namely, Celsius Emmen, Apollo, Astrid Schulte, Happy Trader, & Raon Teresa, berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.

Approximately, 07 ships namely, Chemroad Sirius, Gfs Prime, Gsl Grania, Xin Hang Zhou, King Gallop, Marine Ista, & Carl Schulte, sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.

PORT QASIM

A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a edible oil carrier ‘Lila Ace’ left the port on Wednesday morning, while two more ships, GFS Prime and Al-Bidda are expected to sail on Wednesday after noon.

Cargo volume of 144,411 tonnes, comprising 105,617 tonnes imports cargo and 38,794 export cargo carried in 2,370 Containers (805 TEUs Imports & 1,565 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

There are 18 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Khasab Silver, Marine Ista, Common Faith and Hansa Africa & another containers ship ‘MSC Lusia’ carrying Palm oil, Coal, Bunkering and Container are expected to take berths at LCT, PIBT and QICT on Wednesday 12th November, 2025.
