LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sealed 57 properties in various housing schemes across the provincial capital.
According to the LDA on Wednesday, its town planning wing took action against illegal commercial buildings and those defaulting on commercial fees. The sealed properties included a variety of businesses, including wedding halls, marquees, private banks, grocery stores, showrooms, property offices, clinics, shops, and offices.
The operation was conducted in several areas, including Ferozepur Road, Gulberg, Model Town, Main UBD Canal Road, and Mustafa Town. During these operations, 21 properties were sealed on Ferozepur Road, 10 on Main UBD Canal Road, and 16 in Gulberg and Model Town, due to illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercial fees.
