KARACHI: On the special directions of Rajveer Singh Sodha, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Human Rights, the Directorate of Human Rights, Government of Sindh has initiated a comprehensive inquiry into the tragic incident involving the deaths of three young men in Dano Dhandhal, Nagarparkar, District Tharparkar.
A meeting was conducted by Agha Fakhur Hussain, Director, Directorate of Human Rights, along with Ghulam Abass Khoso, Focal Person for the Suicide Prevention Initiative (SPI), and other relevant stakeholders to review the situation and decide immediate actions.
It was agreed that a fact-finding team, including a psychologist, sociologist, and representatives of local administration and law enforcement, will visit the affected area to conduct an in-depth assessment and prepare a comprehensive report.
The Directorate also decided to establish a dedicated coordination and response centre under the SPI to strengthen awareness, communication, and timely intervention in such cases.
Agha Fakhur Hussain emphasized that human life is sacred, and the Government of Sindh is determined to address mental health and social distress through coordinated and compassionate action.
