Senators pay homage to Irfan Siddiqui

ISLAMABAD: Senators belonging to different political parties from both sides of the aisle paid homage to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Parliamentary Leader in the Senate, Irfan Siddiqui, on Wednesday, who passed away here earlier on Monday following a protracted illness.

In a condolence session chaired by Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan, the senators lauded Siddiqui’s contributions to efforts for strengthening democracy and Parliament.

The senators including Leader of the House in Senate Ishaq Dar, Law Minister Azam Tarar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Prime Minister’s Political Advisor Rana Sanaullah, Dost Muhammad Khan,Shahadat Awan,Pervaiz Rashid, Kamran Murtaza, Saleem Mandviwalla, Abdul Wasay, Jan Muhammad, Khalil Tahir Sandhu, ManzoorKakar, Naseema Ehsan, Waqar Mehdi, Aimal Wali, Samina Mumtaz Zehri, Hafiz Abdul Karim, Zamir Hussain Ghumro, Abdul Shakoor, Afnan Ullah, Amir Chishti, Falak Naz, Sarmad Ali, Hidayatullah Khan, Masroor Ahsan, Nadeem Bhutto, Nasir Mehmood, Aslam Abro, Niaz Ahmad, Bilal Khan, Agha Shahzaib, and deputy chairman Senate himself spoke highly about Siddiqui and remembered him in profound words.

The lawmakers also prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and the grant of peace to the bereaved family.
