ISLAMABAD: The government will table The Constitution (Twenty-seventh Amendment) Bill, 2025 in the National Assembly Tuesday (Nov 11) for passage.

The Senate has already approved the bill amid strong protests and walkouts by the opposition benches.

According to the Orders of the Day issued by the National Assembly Secretariat, the proposed legislation has been listed as the third item on Tuesday’s agenda.

27th Amendment bill approved by joint parliamentary body

Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar is expected to move the bill in the lower house for approval. The bill will not be referred to the relevant standing committee for further deliberation, as the joint committees of both Houses have already given their approval.

It is anticipated that the opposition parties in the National Assembly will strongly resist the move and make every effort to block or delay the passage of the bill.
