ECP projects’ progress reviewed

ISLAMABAD: Secretary of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Umar Hamid Khan, met CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, at CDA Headquarters to review progress on ongoing and upcoming ECP projects.

The meeting discussed the construction of the Federal Election Academy, ECP offices, and other development initiatives. Officials informed that tendering for the academy project will begin soon, followed by the groundbreaking ceremony, while work on the prefabricated gymnasium is already in progress.

Updates were also shared on the fire safety plan at the ECP Secretariat, with the survey completed and implementation set to begin on a priority basis.

Chairman Randhawa directed that ECP representatives be included in the tendering process and that all construction activities be monitored via CCTV. He also called for focal persons from both sides to ensure quality and timely completion.
