KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 183,427 tonnes of cargo comprising 140,783 tonnes of import cargo and 42,644 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 140,783 tonnes comprised of 90,391 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 427 tonnes of Chickpeas, 6,799 tonnes of Dap, & 43,166 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 42,644 tonnes comprised of, & 15,697 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 25,961 tonnes of Clinkers, & 986 tonnes of Talc Lumps.
As many as, 07 ships namely, MscClea, Hui Fa, Ts Chennai, Kai Da Hong Zhou, Jolly Oro, Shamrock Jupiter, & Seaclipper, berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 09 ships namely, Hmm Forest, Maersk Sebarok, Gfs Prime, Elreedy z Star, X-Press Kohima, Msc Milan, Pm Hayabusa Ii, Joll Pro, & Swan Lake, sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of ten ships were engaged at the PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, MSC Mediterranean and Asia Inspire left the port on Wednesday morning, Meanwhile four more ships, GFS Prime, Helena-K, Sinar Toraja and Nepta are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Cargo volume of 174,576 tonnes, comprising 125,726 tonnes imports cargo and 48,850 export cargo carried in 4,698 Containers (2,426 TEUs Imports &2,272 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 09 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them two ships, Hansa Africa and PM Duke carrying Container and Palm-oline are expected to take berths at QICT and LCT respectively on Wednesday 27thAugust, while two more ships, MSC Falcon-III and MSC Martina with Container are due to arrive at outer anchorage on Thursday August 28th, 2025.
