KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 202,021 tonnes of cargo comprising 150,976 tonnes of import cargo and 51,045 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours, ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 150,976 tonnes comprised of 89,218 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 4,555 tonnes of B Bulk cargo, 6,503 tonnes of Dap, & 50,700 tonnes of Liquid Cargo.
The total export cargo of 51,045 tonnes comprised of, & 34,766 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 252 tonnes of B Bulk cargo, 15,201 tonnes of Clinkers, &, 826 tonnes of Rice.
Approximately, 05, Msc Milan, Yuan Xiang Fa Zhan, Hmm Forest, Maesk Sebarok, & Bulk Bequia, berthed at the Karachi Port Trust.
As many as, 03 ships namely, Km Weipa, Alexia, & Xinhang Zhou, sailed from the Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of ten ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them six ships, Daphne, Al-berth-P, Angie, Koulitsa-2, Hyde Park and Ghat are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Cargo volume of 176,097 tonnes, comprising 83,179 tonnes imports cargo and 92,918 export cargo carried in 4,866 Containers (2,094 TEUs Imports &2,772 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 08 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them three ships, Salt Lake, Sofia-II and Maraikh & three more ships, Sinar Toraja, GFS Prime and MSC Mediterranean scheduled to laod/offload Soya Bean Seed, Fuel oil, LNG, Chemicals and Container are expected to take berths at FAP, FOTCO, EETL, EVTL and QICT respectively on Tuesday 26thAugust, while two more ships, Hansa Africa and Jin Shun He with Container are due to arrive at outer anchorage on Wednesday August 27th, 2025.
