RAWALPINDI: Former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senator Chaudhry Tanveer was arrested on Tuesday after the Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench dismissed his pre-arrest bail application in a murder case.
Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan rejected the plea and ordered immediate arrest, following which Tanveer was taken into custody directly from the court premises.
Following the arrest, the former senator was transferred to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) for a medical examination.
Chaudhry Tanveer is a suspect in the murder case of Chaudhry Adnan, a former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member. The case was registered at Civil Lines police station on February 12.
