LAHORE: The Lahore administration has finally sprang into action to brighten up the city and launched a massive project to repair and maintain 272,000 streetlights across the metropolis. After years of darkness, the city is set to shine bright once again.
The project, worth a whopping Rs 76 crore, will cover six zones, with the initial phase focusing on purchasing 150,000 streetlights to revive dormant lighting points. The breakdown of funds allocated for each zone is as follows: Nishtar Zone, Rs 1.45 billion, Gulberg Zone, Rs 1.49 billion, Ravi Zone, Rs 1.427 billion, Samanabad Zone, Rs 993 million, Data Zone, Rs 1.596 billion, and Shalimar Zone, Rs 450 million.
