FBR issues directives to intensify recovery measures

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed Inland Revenue field formations to intensify enforcement measures including recovery against taxpayers for achieving the assigned tax collection targets for 2024-25.

In this regard, the FBR has issued instructions to the field formations here on Tuesday on collection of duties/taxes in Fiscal Year 2025.

According to the FBR’s instructions, in order to achieve the targets for the Fiscal Year 2024-25, enforcement measures have to be taken proactively, and thus it is communicated that all Large Taxpayer Offices (LTOs), medium tax offices (MTOs), corporate tax offices (CTOs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) shall observe extended working hours on Saturday i.e. May 31, 2025 till 8:00 pm, FBR added.
