Ugandan shilling marginally firmer; dollar demand low

KAMPALA: The Ugandan shilling was slightly firmer on Thursday, with demand for dollars flat from all sectors, traders said.

At 0941 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,795/3,805, compared with Tuesday’s closing rate of 3,803/3,813. Markets were closed on Wednesday for Labour Day.
