LDA for expediting uplift work on two projects

LAHORE: Lahore Development Authority Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa has directed the official concerned to expedite work on the second package of Controlled Access Corridor Closed Road Project and Ravi Bridge Expansion Project.

In this connection, he chaired a meeting on Monday to review the progress of ongoing mega projects. LDA Chief Engineer Israr Saeed, Chief Engineer Tepa Iqar Hussain, Director Engineering Mirza Inam, Director Headquarters Asif Hussain, NESPAK Project Coordinator Saqib Naeem and other related officers attended the meeting.

The LDA DG reviewed the daily target for early completion of Package One of the Controlled Access Corridor Closed Road Project and also discussed matters relating to all sections of Package Two.

While briefing the meeting about the Controlled Access Corridor Closed Road Project, Chief Engineer LDA Israr Saeed and Chief Engineer Tepa Iqar Hussain said that its first package between Niazi Chowk and Sigian was nearing completion and the work was in progress.

On the Ravi Bridge Expansion Project, the meeting was told that out of 96 girders needed for the expansion of Ravi Bridge, 40 have been prepared while the pile work was in progress round the clock and 33 piles have been completed.
