JAKARTA: Indonesia exported $21.72 billion worth of goods in May, up 0.96% on a yearly basis from the same month a year earlier, beating market expectation, data by the statistics bureau showed on Thursday.

A Reuters poll of analysts had expected a 8.7% annual drop in May exports.

The bureau is set to release import data later on Thursday.
