HANOI/BANDAR LAMPUNG: Coffee plants in Vietnam suffered no harm from Typhoon Noru that swept across the country this week, while supplies tightened at the end of the harvest in Indonesia, traders said on Thursday.

Noru, one of the strongest storms in two decades, hit north of the Central Highlands, Vietnam’s largest coffee-growing area. However, farmers and traders said it rained mostly in the provinces of Gia Lai and Kon Tum and did not have heavy impact on crops.
