NTC meeting on ‘harmonisation of sales tax’ deferred

ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the National Tax Council (NTC) convened on harmonisation of sales tax between federal government and provinces was deferred on Thursday.

A medication to this effect issued by the Finance Division said that the meeting of the NTC scheduled on May 26 has been postponed. Date and time of the next meeting will be conveyed later on.

An official said the meeting was also expected to discuss and resolve disputes on the issue of the definition of goods and services which included sale tax on toll manufacturing, sales tax on restaurants and national sales tax form.
