Ogra holds public hearing to consider SNGPL’s plea

LAHORE: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority held a public hearing in Lahore on Wednesday to consider Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL)’s petition for Determination of its Estimated Revenue Requirements/ prescribed prices for FY 2022-23.

The hearing was presided over by Chairman Ogra, Masroor Khan. The Petitioner has projected average Prescribed Price at Rs920.88 per MMBTU for FY 2022-23. The petitioner has also requested Rs1,172.01 per MMBTU on account of previous years’ shortfall. Accordingly, aggregate average prescribed price has been requested at Rs2,074.89 per MMBTU including previous years’ shortfall in natural gas business.

The Petitioner has also projected RLNG cost of service at Rs490.18 per MMBTU w.e.f July 01, 2022 for RLNG business, including Rs330.68 per MMBTU on account of differential impact of RLNG diversion.

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) presented its case in support of its petition for determination of Estimated Revenue Requirement of the Company for FY 2022-23 while fully justifying the Company’s view point. All the queries raised by the Honourable Authority were thoroughly elucidated.

In the hearing general public was also invited and the queries raised by the interveners from the public were also responded by the Managing Director of SNGPL, Ali Javed Hamdani.
