HAMBURG: South Korea’s Feed Leaders Committee (FLC) on Wednesday purchased about 60,000 tonnes of animal feed wheat from optional origins in a private deal without issuing an international tender, European traders said.

The wheat was purchased at an estimated $331.95 a tonne c&f plus a $2.00 a tonne surcharge for additional port unloading. Seller was believed to be trading house Olam.

The wheat was expected to be sourced from India with shipment between April 26 and May 15.

But if sourced from the U.S. Pacific Northwest coast, Australia or Canada shipment is between May 1-21; from South America between April 6-26 and from east Europe/Black Sea between April 11-May 1, they said.
