Sarwar, CM vow to work together under PM’s leadership

LAHORE: Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar in a meeting with Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar here on Monday agreed to work together for the development and prosperity of the people of Punjab under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Both discussed the ongoing development projects for the welfare of the people in Punjab and other important political and administrative issues. They advised the opposition to wait for the general elections instead of creating chaos in the country.

The governor said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, PTI is taking steps in the public interest. Naya Pakistan is for all and Sehat Card is a historic initiative of PTI, institutions are also being strengthened and empowered. Negative politicians have no future, he added.

The CM said that new local bodies system will empower the people at grass root level. The opposition should know that it cannot stop the path of development and Pakistan is getting stronger and more stable with each passing day, he added.

Moreover, the CM inaugurated a 5-day anti-polio drive by administrating vaccines to children at his office on Monday. Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid, chief secretary and Primary and Secondary Health department secretary also administered the vaccine to the children. SACM Hasaan Khawar and others were also present.

During the campaign ending on December 17, 156,000 polio workers would administer anti-polio drops to 17 million children up to five years in the province. Two days are reserved for children who could not be given the vaccine for some reason.
