Australian shares are poised to fall on Monday in tandem with the US market that closed lower on Friday after data showed weaker-than-expected jobs growth in September.
The local share price index futures fell 0.05%, a 47.1-point discount to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index close. The benchmark rose 0.9% on Friday.
New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index rose 0.06% in early trade.
