Australian shares are set to rise on Friday, likely helped by gains in gold stocks on the back of firm bullion prices.
The local share price index futures rose 0.3%, a 21.5-point premium to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index close.
New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index rose 0.3% to 13,133.07 in early trade.
