Giving his concluding remarks at the 100th session of the federal cabinet that met here under his chairmanship, the Prime Minister said the government would ensure full support and cooperation to all these institutions and work along with them. The Prime Minister while referring to the problems in Balochistan said that a committee has already been formed with the representatives from Balachistan in the federal cabinet including the Federal Minister Syed Khurshid Shah for sorting out the problems of the province. He said, "The year 2012 will be year of Balochistan." He said the government would ensure complete implementation of the "Agaz-e- Haqoq-e-Balochistan" to provide all fundamental rights to the people of Balochistan under the constitution. Regarding implementation of the manifesto of the party, the Prime Minister said as it has been mentioned by some of the cabinet members that 80 percent of it has been implemented. However efforts would be accelerated to complete remaining 20 percent of the manifesto in the last year of the government. Gilani said being a politician; he has worked hard to serve the country with support of the people. He said, "I joined the politics in 1978 after the death of my father and became the member of the Central Executive Committee of the party." He said at that time, even Nawaz Sharif had not started his political career. Gilani said, "As political worker we have to serve the people either in the government or out of the government." He said, "We have to serve the people as politicians but there is need that we have an effective voice for this purpose." On the issues of Pepco, PIA and Pakistan Railway, the Prime Minister directed the Finance Minister to take effective measures on priority basis for uplifting these institutions. The Prime Minister said in 1956, the cabinet met here in Karachi and bare-footed visited the mausoleum of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to pay homage to the founder of the country. He said restoration of the constitution by the present democratic government is one of the best way to pay homage and respect to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Referring to the claims of some of the politicians to resolve all the issues within three months, Gilani said these claims are good but difficult to implement. "We have set the path for progress and prosperity and the new generation will contribute to it as the train of democracy has started its journey in right direction with the steps taken by the present government", he said.
