Economic development: FIEDMC zones advancing PM’s vision: Umar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar has said that FIEDMC economic zones are advancing Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision for economic development. The federal government will provide all possible assistance to make them successful. He was talking to Chairman CPEC Authority Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa (retd) in a meeting at FIEDMC Head Office.

Chairman FIEDMC Mian Kashif Ashfaq, Members of Assembly Farrukh Habib, Faizullah Kamuka, Sheikh Khurram Shehzad, CEO FIEDMC Amir Salimi and others were also present on the occasion.

He said that Jhumra Interchange has been approved to facilitate movement in the economic zones of FIEDMC and work on it will be started soon. He said that ample supply of electricity and gas would be provided to FIEDMC so that there would be no problem in supplying energy to the industries involved.

Briefing him, Chairman FIEDMC Mian Kashif Ashfaq said that a one window service center has been set up in FIEDMC Special Economic Zone to facilitate investors. He said that income tax would not be levied on investors for ten years.

Chairman FIEDMC said that the first phase of Allama Iqbal Industrial City is nearing completion. He said that Allama Iqbal Industrial City is located at the best location due to which investors from all over the world are preferring to invest here.—PR
