CHICAGO: Chicago Board of Trade corn futures firmed on Wednesday, supported by concerns about crop development in South America as well as some technical buying, traders said.
The benchmark CBOT March corn futures contract found technical support at its 10-day moving average. It rose above its 20-day and 30-day moving averages during the session.
Analysts were expecting a US Agriculture Department report on Thursday morning to show that export sales of corn were in a range from 800,000 to 1.6 million tonnes in the week ended December 10.
