Prime Minister Imran Khan announced on Saturday that his government is bringing a stringent and holistic Anti-Rape Ordinance next week to close all loopholes.

In a tweet today, the PM lauded Sindh Police Assistant Sub Inspector Mohammad Bux Buriro and his daughter for 'their exemplary initiative and courage' in arresting the Kashmore rapist. "The nation is proud of them and he has given positive uplift to image of police," the PM said.

Last week, a woman and her four-year-old daughter were raped when Rafique Malik lured the woman with a job offer in northern Sindh's Kashmore district. When she arrived, Malik raped her and then took her to another man living near the Sindh-Balochistan border.

The woman approached the police and said that Malik held her four-year-old daughter hostage, saying he would only let her go when she brought him another woman from Karachi.

Devising a ploy to nab the suspect, Buriro asked his wife to talk to the suspect over phone which she did. As soon as Malik arrived at the park, the police apprehended him after which he took them to a cattle pen where he had kept the little girl.

However, on Friday, Malik, was killed by the firing of co-accused Khairullah Bugti while he was taken to point out a hideout of his co-accused.
