KARACHI: Gold on Monday surged by Rs1100 per tola on the local market, traders said. The precious metal on the first of week gained some volume by Rs1100 to sell at Rs113200 per tola domestically. The yellow metal per 10 grams also went up by Rs943 to Rs97051. Gold per ounce was quoted for $1889, showing an increase of $10 on the world market. Silver was available for Rs1200 per tola; Rs1028.80 per 10 grams and $24 per ounce, traders said.
