PTA launches online portal for IP Whitelisting and VPN registration

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has introduced an online portal for IP Whitelisting and VPN registration, for the facilitation of businesses and freelancers.

As per details, the introduction would allow call centers, companies, and freelancers having at least one static IP address and verification letter from their business concerns, to submit their applications for registration at https://ipregistration.pta.gov.pk/.

It may be further added that, previously, call centers and companies had to route their applications through relevant Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

VEON chief visits PTA

VEON’s Co-Chief Executive Officer, Sergi Herrero visited Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Headquarters in Islamabad, along with Jazz CEO, Aamir Ibrahim, and Jazz CRO, Syed Fakhar Ahmed. The group met Chairman PTA, Maj General Amir Azeem Bajwa (R), and discussed matters of mutual interest and investment opportunities.

During the meeting, Chairman PTA and VEON’s Co-CEO discussed the future plans of Jazz and further advancements in telecommunications for the socio-economic benefit of Pakistan.
