Pakistan becomes second country in the Islamic world to manufacture cardiac stents

Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated on Friday N-Ovative Health Technology Facility at NUST, Islamabad.

Addressing the ceremony, the PM congratulated NUST for this achievement and said that this step will significantly reduce expenditures on the treatment of heart diseases besides saving foreign exchange.

The PM added that nation must have a set vision and self-belief that one can accomplish everything. He said once you know your vision for your life, that then translates into a country’s potential.

The PM continued that all the government departments have been directed to facilitate and create an enabling environment for investment.

Speaking about overseas Pakistanis, the PM said they love Pakistan a lot and we have to create an environment for them to return and invest in Pakistan. He further said people want to become nationals of other countries because Pakistan's foreign policy and image was so bad.

The N-Ovative Health Technology will be the first facility in Pakistan that will produce Cardiac Stents. Pakistan is the second country in the Muslim world after Turkey and the 18th country in the world that will locally manufacturer cardiac stents.

Special Assistant to PM on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill said that this will save Rs 8 billion annually in foreign exchange.
