Thailand said to make no purchase in feed wheat, barley tender

HAMBURG: Thailand's association of feed mills (TFMA) is believed to have made no purchase in a tender for at least 70,000 tonnes of animal feed wheat and about 50,000 tonnes of feed barley which closed on Wednesday, European traders said in initial assessments of the result.

Prices were regarded as too high. Price offers for the feed wheat were said to be around $270 a tonne c&f against a target purchase price from the association of about $250 a tonne c&f, they said.

The feed wheat was sought from worldwide optional origins and the barley was sought from Australia. Shipment was in sought in various possibilities between November 2020 and March 2021.
