CBOT corn follows soybeans lower

CHICAGO: Chicago Board of Trade corn futures ended down slightly on Monday as the soybean market weighed on the grain complex, traders said.

Most-active CBOT December corn ended down 6 cents at $3.89 per bushel.

A Ukrainian grain traders union lowered its forecast for the country's 2020 corn harvest due to poor weather.

Rains in South America could delay safrinha corn planting, one analyst said.

The US Department of Agriculture, in a monthly report on Friday, cut its forecasts for domestic corn production to 14.722 billion bushels from its previous estimate of 14.900 billion. Analysts had expected 14.808 billion.
