Kenya inflation slows to 4.20pc in year to September

NAIROBI: Kenya's year-on-year inflation slowed to 4.20pc in September from 4.36pc in the previous month, the statistics office said on Wednesday.

On a monthly basis, inflation was unchanged, compared with an increase of 0.20pc in August, the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics said in a statement.

Inflation has stayed within the government's preferred band of 2.5-7.5pc , giving policymakers flexibility while setting lending rates during the coronavirus crisis.
