KAMPALA: The Ugandan shilling was stable on Wednesday with scant appetite for hard currency and inflows from offshore investors participating in a Treasury auction helping to lend support to the local currency.

At 0848GMT commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,687/3,697, same level as Tuesday's close.
