S.Korea's KFA bought about 65,000 tonnes corn in private deal

HAMBURG: The Korea Feed Association's Incheon section purchased an estimated 65,000 tonnes of corn expected to be sourced from Brazil in a private deal on Tuesday without an international tender being issued, European traders said.

The corn was purchased at an estimated $229.00 a tonne c&f for shipment from Brazil between Oct. 15 and Nov. 15. Seller was believed to be trading house Midstar.

The KFA's Busan section had separately bought about 63,000 tonnes of corn expected to be sourced from South America in an international tender which closed on Tuesday.
