Nawaz should satisfy govt, judiciary about his treatment: Sarwar

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said on Monday that Nawaz Sharif should satisfy the government and judiciary by giving information about his treatment.

While talking to media after planting saplings in connection with the tree plantation campaign organized by Boy Scouts, here at Governor's House, Ch. Sarwar said that a judicial commission can be formed, if the victim of Motorway rape case desires, the accused involved in the incident will be awarded punishment.

To a query, he said that speedy progress in this case is an example of extraordinary work done by all concerned. He added that more DNA tests are being carried out the beasts involved in the incident do not deserve any concessions.

Regarding the All Parties Conference (APC), he said that holding the APC is a constitutional and democratic right of the opposition but the opposition parties have their own political interests and views so it does not matter how many times they call the APC. He said the opposition parties can't bear the country's success on economic front.

Talking to CCPO Lahore Omar Sheikh, the governor said the government is determined to purge all institutions including the police from political interference.
