(Karachi) Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that criminals like the Motorway rapists should be hanged publicly and they should be castrated through chemical process to set an example for others.

In an interview to a private news channel, the prime minister said that the Motorway rape incident has shaken the whole country. "I am really shocked that what happened with a mother in front of her children. The perpetrators should be given exemplary punishments," he stated.

He said such incidents should be condemned and a proper legislation is needed to eradicate this menace from the society.

Imran maintained that rapists should be castrated in order to set an example for others. He pointed out that it is time the government takes bold decisions in the best interest of the country and its people.

Regarding the newly-appointed Punjab IG, he said that if the IGP will perform then he will stay. "No one says Shoaib Dastgir did not perform his duty but everyone would hold Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar responsible for all things,” he maintained.

He said the decision to change Lahore CCPO was taken because the police had joined hands with the land mafia.

To a question on PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif's return, Imran said the government will do its best to bring Nawaz Sharif back. The opposition looted the country and then pronounced that the government had failed,” he said.

“If Pakistan is blacklisted at the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) then Pakistan’s economy will be destroyed due to inflation and a massive fall in Pakistani Rupee. The opposition considered to blackmail me in the FATF but I will not be blackmailed in any case,” PM Imran Khan explained.
