Elahi, Buzdar vow to work jointly for extending relief to masses

LAHORE: Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch Pervez Elahi met Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, here on Tuesday and expressed to work jointly for extending relief to the masses. During the meeting, views were exchanged on current political situation, affairs of the Punjab government and matters of mutual interest, sources said.

Talking on the occasion, Sardar Usman Buzdar said that PML-Q is an ally and they will continue to serve the masses. The relationship with the allied party will be stronger every coming day, he added. The conspirators are opposing the development of the province and new drama in the garb of APC will be failed, the CM added.

Pervez Elahi stated that no hurdle will be allowed in the journey of public service and both the coalition partners will continue to work jointly for providing relief to the masses because public service is a collective agenda.

Moreover, talking to chairman All Pakistan Private Sector's Universities Ch. Abdul Rehman, the CM said that meeting of higher education reforms committee will be called soon and he will personally review the matters pertaining to this committee.

Similarly, vacant posts will be filled in the higher education department according to need and pending cases will also be disposed of. The Punjab government is going to open educational institutions from September 15 and instructions have been issued for compliance of SOPs in all educational institutions to overcome the spread of the virus, he added.
