ABIDJAN: Ivory Coast has sold more than 1.3 million tonnes of cocoa export contracts for the 2020/21 season, which opens in October, with prices that include a new $400/tonne living income differential (LID), sources at the regulator said on Monday.
The Ivory Coast normally sells an average of 1.6 million tonnes of cocoa export contracts, or 80% of its forecast for the coming harvest, before the start of the season to set the guaranteed price for producers.
