ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar Thursday said Prime Minister Imran Khan was committed to make ‘Naya Pakistan’ as per his vision of 'Madina welfare state' to bring stability and prosperity in the country.

Talking to a private news channel, he ruled out the rumors about the premiership and said the government would complete its constitutional term.

Asad said the prime minister was determined since the day one to take action against the national wealth looters and plunderers to completely wipe out the menace of corruption from the country.

He said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was combating war against corrupt mafia to bring political and economic stability in the country.

He said the discussion was underway to remove the reservations of coalition partners and they were still united and supporting the PTI government.

The opposition parties had created the perception that the government could not be able to pass the fiscal budget 2020-21 from the Parliament but their assumptions proved false.

Replying to a question, he said the civil and military leaderships were on the same page as the military leadership was helping the government to contain the spread of coronavirus and locusts attack issues.
