KARACHI: On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,303. The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 14.433 billion and the number of lots traded was 21,128.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 8.853 billion, followed by NSDQ 100 PKR 1.600 billion, silver PKR 943.938 million, crude oil PKR 814.941 million, DJ PKR 787.814 million, currencies through COTS PKR 666.778 million, platinum PKR 368.750 million, SP500 PKR 257.362 million, natural gas PKR 86.272 million and copper PKR 53.327 million.
In agriculture commodities, 4 lot of wheat amounting to PKR 16.348 million were traded.
