KARACHI: On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,362. The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 14.017 billion and the number of lots traded was 18,300.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 9.030 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 965.243 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 940.471 million, silver PKR 814.356 million, DJ PKR 765.928 million, crude oil PKR 510.275 million, platinum PKR 392.173 million, copper PKR 279.565 million, natural gas PKR 175.362 million and SP500 PKR 143.374 million.
In agriculture commodities, 7 lot of wheat amounting to PKR 28.043 million, one lot of corn amounting to PKR 2.768 million and 2 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.022 million were traded.
