In their separate condolence messages, both paid glowing tributes to late Asma Jahangir for her services she rendered for the cause of democracy, rule of law and human rights.

Hoti said she always raised voice for the rights of deserving people and stood firm against the dictatorship. Her death, he said has badly upset people from all walks of life. The vacuum created with her tragic death will not be possible to fill, Hoti added.

Bilour in his message said Asma was a brave woman and her services for the restoration of democracy and rights of poor segments of the society were unforgettable. He said Asma was not only a person but the voice of downtrodden people and custodian of constitution and supremacy of law. Her services for the country would be written in history with golden words.

Both the ANP leaders expressed sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and courage to the family members to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude and patience.
