Awami Muslim League (AWM), President, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, said on Wednesday that real change in the country would appear with "political awakening" of countrymen instead of creation of Seraiki or other provinces. While addressing a public gathering in Lahore, the former federal minister said his party would unfold future strategy vis-à-vis future political alliance on August 13.
He urged the people of Lahore to take to streets to secure future of their generations. "The change will only appear, if people of Lahore come out on roads," he said. Sheikh Rashid slammed the PPP-led government for its faulty policies and bad governance. He mentioned the incident of Bannu Jail that shows how such rulers can bring any positive change. He alleged that the sitting corrupt mafia came into power just to mint public money.
