On the auspicious occasion of the 60th anniversary of Pakistani-Japanese diplomatic relations, I am indeed privileged to present a warm message. Over the past 60 years, we have witnessed that, although the world has changed drastically, a good bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Japan has been maintained.
This was due to efforts not only at the diplomatic level but also at the corporate and grassroots levels in both countries. In the aftermath of the 2011 Triple Catastrophe in northern Japan, Pakistan generously reached out to victims by launching emergency aids. I thus believe that the two countries' ties have become stronger than ever. The Overseas Human Resources and Industry Development Association (HIDA) has actively extended co-operation for the sustainable development of Pakistan through various training programs. I will be more than delighted if HIDA can continue playing a pivotal role in this field to further strengthen Pakistani-Japanese relation.
