The Punjab government has launched a campaign for the disbursement of production loans for Kharif-2012 through one window operation and this drive will continue till July 31, 2012. Director General Disaster Management Authority, Mujahid Sherdil said here on Tuesday that this drive has been started on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab.
He said that most of the borrowers were already availing loans under "Sada Bahar Scheme" for which no documentation is required for three years, therefore, one window operation will be carried out on every Monday, loans will be advanced through passbook system only, land holding for grant of production of loans on 25 acres of irrigated land and 50 acres of Barani land. He also said that maximum loan limit is Rs 2 million under one window operation.
He said that MCOs will receive loan applications for input at focal point. He further said that all Patwari, Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar will remain present on every Monday at the centres to complete the process the same day. He said that complaint cells will be established in the office of the District Co-ordination Officers with a view to improving the system and to remove the grievances and bottleneck for its function so that disbursement is made without any delay or problem.
