Jordan buys 50,000 tonnes of wheat

Jordan's state grain buyer has purchased 50,000 tonnes of wheat in a tender for 100,000 tonnes, which closed on Wednesday, European traders said. The price was said to be $295 a tonne c&f and the wheat was likely to be of Black Sea origin, although the seller has the right to select the country of supply, they said. Shipment was in the first half of July, and the seller was said to be Ameropa.
Traders said offers also made in the tender per tonne c&f included Glencore at $298.00, Toepfer $304.87, Nibulon $313.31, Bunge $319, Noble Resources $319.69, Midgulf $306 and Sarles Overseas Lahham $309.90.
