Some 3,000 Sikh Yatrees (pilgrims) from India will arrive in provincial metropolis through Wagha border on Tuesday to participate in the celebration of the annual Besakhi Festival. The sources in Pakistan Railway said three special trains from India each consisted of 10 passenger coaches would facilitate the Sikh Yatrees. The first train will reach Wagha Railways Station at 11 am, second at 1 pm and third train at 2 pm from Attari, India.
The Evacuees Trust Property Board (ETPB) will organise special arrangements at Wagha station to offer a warm welcome to Indian guests. ETPB Addition Secretary Shrines Zahid Hussain Bokhari, Deputy Secretary Faraz Abbas, Azhar Sulehri, Sardar Sham Singh Chairman Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parabandhak Committee and a large number of local Sikh leaders and ETPB officers will receive the Sikh Yatrees. ETPB will also serve free Langar (meal) and make available medical facilities at Wagha station. After arriving at Wagha station, Sikh Yatrees will proceed to Hassan Abdal at Gurdwara Panja Sahib where they will stay on April 10, 11 and 12.
