At least four Iraqi athletes are to compete in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Iraqi Athletics Federation spokesman Maytham Husseini said on Saturday. The athletes are javelin thrower Ammar Makki, discus thrower Haidar Nasser, short-distance runner Dana Hussein and middle- and long-distance runner Adnan Tayes, Husseini said. Iraq, which sent Nasser and Makki to the Olympics in Beijing in 2008, could have athletes in other categories qualify in May.
